2009 Indoor Track Schedule (Season Cancelled by AHSAA)

The Indoor Season for 2009 has been cancelled - the AHSAA is not sponsoring a championship level competition indoors this year.  AHSAA has indicated that once a suitable venue is found for indoor competition, then the championship competition will resume.  The rest of this page is left to remind us of what we can accomplish, once we get a new facility developed.

However, on 2/7/2009, Pat McGregor continued his great senior year with a trip to Boston, MA, for the Reebok Indoor Games.  Pat ran in the indoor mile, 16+ laps on a short track.  Pat's time was a new school record of 4:09.41, which equates out to a 4:08.96 1600 meters.  Pat finished third.  The race results are here.

A group of Hoover Athletes traveled to Lexington, KY, to compete in the University of Kentucky Indoor Invitational on 2/21/2009.  The summarized efforts of the Hoover team can be found here.  New school records were set in the freshman girls 400m, the varsity boys 400m and the varsity boys and varsity girls High Jumps!

And, on 3/14/2009, Pat McGregor returned to Boston, MA, this time for the Nike Indoor National Championships at the Reggie Lewis Sports and Athletic Center.  Pat finished second in the race, by 0.14 seconds, at 4:08.61.  This effort equates to a 4:07.17 for the 1600m - a new Hoover record.  The race results can be found here.
